Scheduler on Shutdown Project – Chemical/Petrochemical Projects

Given our strong growth and ambitious business plan, we are looking for a Scheduler on Shutdown Project based in Belgium or in the Netherlands.
As a Scheduler on Shutdown Project for Chemical/Petrochemical Projects, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the project schedule for a planned shutdown event in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing facility. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure that the shutdown is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will also be responsible for utilizing and integrating multiple project scheduling software tools, such as SAP and Roser.

Develop and maintain the project schedule for the shutdown, including critical path analysis and resource leveling.

Monitor and control project progress, including tracking and reporting on shutdown activities.

Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.

Collaborate with project management team to forecast project costs and ensure budget adherence.

Develop and maintain project schedule reports, including progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and variance reports.

Utilize and integrate multiple project scheduling software tools such as SAP and Roser.

Participate in shutdown planning meetings to provide updates on project progress and forecasts.

Ensure compliance with project scheduling requirements and industry standards.

Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and project managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in project scheduling in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing facility
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Experience with shutdown events, turnarounds, or outages in chemical or petrochemical facilities
- Knowledge of chemical or petrochemical industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in project management software, such as SAP and Roser
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
