Planning Engineer

Given our strong growth and ambitious business plan we are looking for several Schedulers – Project Controls Engineers based in the Netherlands.
As a planning engineer, you will support large multidisciplinary projects with analyses regarding progress, scope monitoring, costs and risks. You will be the right hand of the project manager and you will work on interesting projects such as infrastructure, construction of data centers, offshore wind farms and new construction projects of industrial installations.

What are you going to do?
You will be deployed on large multidisciplinary projects in the Netherlands or Belgium within the world of engineering, construction, industry and pharma.
Sometimes you work on a large tender for an offshore wind farm, other times you are deployed in the progress of a project for a data center or you prepare a claim for a large infrastructure project.
Thanks to your social analytical skills, you know how to provide the planning with the necessary information after which you provide the team with the analytical progress of the project and you monitor the scope like no one else.
Key responsiblities
- You are assigned to a project team to advise the project manager on project controls.
- You will draw up a project and/or tender schedule (time, cost, resources) including associated reports and monitor the schedule during the course of the project.
- You are responsible for the entire project controls process. You perform in-depth analyses such as earned value management, DCMA, scenarios and risk analyses.
- You set the planning and project scope based on the WBS.
- You provide input for the progress reports.
- You actively seek collaboration with colleagues, watch and learn from them so that you can see for yourself how your planning contributes to the successful realization of the project.
Qualifications
- You are a graduate engineer who wants to be involved as a team player in various multidisciplinary projects.
- You are a topper in planning and organizing and you work very accurately.
- You are also strong in analyzing and visualizing processes.
- With a master/bachelor working and thinking level and at least 3 years of experience in project management, you are ready for your next step.
- You are not afraid to cut through knots and quickly grasp the big picture.
- You have knowledge of PPM tools such as Primavera, MS Project, Tilos, Deltek.
- You are a pro in Excel, possibly supplemented with experience with a BI tool.
- You are fluent in English, Dutch language is a big plus.
