Cost Controller

Given our strong growth and ambitious business plan, we are looking for a Cost Controller based in Belgium or in the Netherlands.
What are we looking for?
- You have a financial background, preferable Bachelor or master’s in accounting or Economics.
- Or a technical degree with Finance experience.
- You already have a first experience in finance, especially in EPC projects.
- You are analytical and motivated to go the extra mile and support our clients.
- You can create financial dashboards or finance models and you are an expert in Excel.
- You have worked with financial software (SAP, …).
- Complex’ does not appear in your dictionary and you turn every challenge into a successful opportunity. You work in a strong international team with respect for different cultures and broaden your horizons.
- If you have experience with Primavera P6 this would be a big plus.
- You have a driving license.
- You are an excellent communicator in writing as verbally. In addition to English, you also have a good level of Dutch. Any additional language is a plus.
- You have a passion for Cost Control, and you are eager to learn new techniques.
What are you going to do?
- Setting up the cost breakdown structure CBS in line with the WBS and the contractual and project related activities of the particular Market project sector.
- Consult and advise the project manager regarding budget forecast based on tools and processes.
- Improve project process by developing and implementing cost structure, then manage job-specific code of accounts for WBS approvals.
- Manage treasury, open several new accounts, establish new procedures and controls, monitor daily activity.
- Produce EVM reports.
- Identify wrongly charged WBS to control the budget release under each WBS element.
- Facilitate capital project team’s operating expense budgets, forecast, variance comments, accruals, and reporting.
- Analyze purchase order commitment to calculate actuals.
- Perform weekly/periodic physical inventory reconciliations.
- Evaluate and follow up change of orders and update the budget.
